Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes permitted and prohibited uses of the internet access services provided by Lehigh WiFi ("we," "us," or "our"). This AUP is part of our Terms of Serviceand applies to anyone who uses our network ("you" or "customer"). If you violate this AUP, we may suspend or terminate your service as described below.

1) General Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for activity that occurs over your connection, including by household members and guests.
  • You must secure your devices and home/office network (e.g., Wi‑Fi password, device updates, anti‑malware).
  • Use the service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

2) Prohibited Activities

You may not use the service to:

  • Engage in unlawful activities (e.g., fraud, harassment, threats, distribution of illegal content).
  • Violate intellectual property rights (e.g., unauthorized copying, distribution, or file‑sharing of copyrighted works).
  • Send unsolicited bulk or commercial email (SPAM), or maintain open relays/open proxies.
  • Introduce malware, attempt unauthorized access, scan/ probe, or disrupt networks, systems, or services (DDoS, port scans, brute force, etc.).
  • Operate servers or services that negatively impact network stability or other customers (e.g., abusive public services without rate‑limits).
  • Resell, share, or redistribute service outside the service address without written permission.
  • Evade usage policies or security controls, or misrepresent identity to obtain service.

3) Email & Messaging

  • Do not send unsolicited bulk email or messages. Honor unsubscribe requests and anti‑spam laws (e.g., CAN‑SPAM).
  • Do not harvest addresses or use the service for phishing, spoofing, or social engineering.

4) Security; Network Integrity

  • You must not attempt to bypass security, intercept traffic, or access other customers’ devices or data.
  • We may use reasonable security measures and network management to preserve quality and protect the network.
  • Report security issues or abuse to [email protected].

5) Bandwidth; Traffic Management

Residential plans do not include data caps. During periods of congestion, we may employ reasonable, application‑agnostic traffic management to preserve access for all users. Business plans with priority add‑ons may receive higher scheduling priority during incidents. For details, see our Network Management Policy.

6) Content & Third‑Party Services

We do not monitor your web browsing. You are responsible for the content you access and any third‑party services you use. We are not liable for third‑party content or services.

7) Enforcement

  • We may investigate suspected violations and may cooperate with law enforcement consistent with our Privacy Policy.
  • We may issue warnings, apply temporary blocks or rate‑limits, or suspend/terminate service for violations.
  • Serious violations (e.g., ongoing abuse or threats to network integrity) may result in immediate suspension.

8) Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be posted on our website and take effect upon posting.
